    Arts receives gift for student scholarships

    快猫成版视频 announced Thursday it has received a $336,000 donation to the Department of Dance in the College of the Arts. The gift from Jay and Debra Yunek, the Pomare-Conner Memorial Endowed Fund for Dance, honors their late uncle, Glenn Conner, and his partner and dance choreographer Eleo Pomare. The funds will be used to promote or preserve Pomare鈥檚 legacy through the study and performance of his artistic works in the field of dance.

The award, which recognizes significant, long-term scholarship in music education, was given to Price at the recent NAfME鈥檚 Music Research and Teacher Education National Conference in Atlanta.

More than 4,000 students from 400 colleges and universities are presenting their research April 4-7 at the prestigious annual conference. With 93 students attending, 快猫成版视频 State's number of participants is second only to the host institution, the University of Central Oklahoma.
