    ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State Captures ASUN All-Sports Trophy

    For the first time in school history, the ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State department of athletics has captured the 2017-18 ASUN Bill Bibb Trophy as all-sport champions of the league. After finishing runner-up in the standings last year, the Owls overtook three-time defending champion FGCU, registering 240 total points out of a possible 339 for 70.8 percent.

    KSU teams win conference championships

    May 14, 2018

    A four-run second inning sparked the ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State softball team to an 8-4 victory over USC Upstate and the ASUN Conference Championship title Sunday at Patricia Wilson Field on the campus of Stetson University. The ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State men's track and field team won its sixth consecutive ASUN Conference Outdoor team championship on Saturday, May 12 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida. The ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State women's track team won its second ASUN Conference Outdoor Championship on Saturday, May 12 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

    Men's track and field wins seventh straight ASUN indoor title

    The ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State men's track and field team won its seventh consecutive ASUN Conference Indoor team championship on Saturday, February 17 at the Liberty Indoor Track and Field complex. This is the program's ninth ASUN Indoor title, which is the most in conference history.

    Brian Bohannon Named 2017 AFCA FCS Coach of the Year

    January 10, 2018

    Brian Bohannon, who guided ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State to a Big South Conference championship, the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs and a No. 8 final ranking in the STATS FCS Poll, has been named the 2017 AFCA FCS Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).

    Matt Griffin Named Interim Director of Athletics

    ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ President Sam Olens announced Friday that Matt Griffin will serve as the interim director of athletics. Griffin is no stranger to ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State, having spent two years as the Owls’ assistant athletics director for internal operations and the two years prior as director of athletics at Southern Polytechnic State University before the two institutions consolidated. Since 2015, Griffin has served as KSU’s director of trustee relations and development.

    ¿ìè³É°æÊÓƵ State rising sophomore Carlotta Gianolla had one goal this summer – make the Under-20 Italian National Team. Following a three-week tryout that concluded on July 3, Gianolla's hopes became reality when she was one of 16 players selected to the team that will represent Italy in the European Women’s Basketball Championship that begins Saturday (July 8) in Matosinhos, Portugal.
